Ground Transportation

There are several possibilities for ground transportation from Ben Gurion Airport to the Regency Hotel in Jerusalem and from Haifa back to the airport.

A Taxi from the Airport to Jerusalem should cost about 200 NIS (approximately 48 USD). A much more affordable option is the reliable "Shared Taxi" service (a shuttle van service called locally "Sheyrut"). If you take a "Sheyrut" Taxi you will be sharing the ride with additional passengers, but the rate in this case will be considerably lower -- about 46 NIS (11USD).

The Taxi Stations and dispatcher's counter at the main terminal are located on Level G. Both Taxis and "Special Taxis" could be found at that level.

The Taxi companies at the airport operate under the supervision of the Israeli Airport Authority.

As for transportation from Haifa back to the airport at the conclusion of the seminar, Both Taxis and "Shared Taxis" can be reserved at the hotel. We recommend "Ammal Taxis" as the dispatcher for shuttle services. Their rate is about 60 NIS (approximately 14.5 USD). The rate for a regular Taxi from Haifa to Ben Gurion Airport is about 300 NIS (approximately 72 USD).

An additional possibility to get from Haifa to the airport is by train. Hof Ha-Carmel Station is just 10-15 minutes Taxi ride from the hotel. A train ride from there to the airport costs 34.5 NIS (8.25 USD) and takes 75 minutes. While airport trains operate 24 hours a day on weekdays (Sundays – Thursdays), the last train on Fridays departs from Hof Ha-Carmel at 2:11 PM, and the first train to the airport leaves the station on 7:08 PM on Saturdays. The train schedule is available online.

We would be happy to assist you with further information or help.
